The 22nd Software Development Expo and Conference (SODEC) is a highly anticipated event attended by major players in the IT market. Hosted by the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, the event was held from May 9-11, 2012, and showcased the latest products, services, and trends in the computer-hardware-software industry.

This year's SODEC was the best attended as compared to the past 5 years. Alliance Software Inc. (Alliance) was only one (1) of four (4) Philippine companies who participated this year, along with Advanced World Systems, Pointwest Technologies, and Tsukiden Global Solutions.

Leaders in the country's software sector, led by the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA) represented by their President, Nora K. Terrado presented a seminar on “Philippines as a Software Development and IT Outsourcing Global Gateway”. The presentation included the latest trends in the Philippine software development and services industry, highlighting industry growth figures, and the capabilities of the Philippines IT industry in providing high-value software development and IT-related services to Japan-based companies. Continued promotional efforts in events such as SODEC, combined with the efforts of key IT companies, has resulted in the Philippines getting very positive visibility in the global market, which will result in higher confidence and cooperation with Japan counterparts.

Alliance’s extensive experience in delivering word-class IT and software solutions for the Japan and other global markets, continue to add credibility to the Philippines IT industry, proving to the world that the Philippines is a viable outsourcing hub for all types of software development.
