Alliance Software Inc. once again joined the Software Development Expo and Conference (SODEC), an annual event in Japan attended by top global information systems and software development companies. The event took place in Tokyo Big Sight Japan last May 14-16, 2014. The event aimed to showcase the latest products, services, and trends in the computer-hardware-software industry.
The Philippines' Embassy in Japan, Department of Science and Technology and ASEAN Japan Center, organized a seminar on "Philippines IT Outsourcing" to give latest information on the industry. The goal of the seminar is to present new business opportunities to investors and the capabilities & talents of the Filipinos.
Keynote speakers of the seminar emphasized on the growth of social media & smart phone users in the Philippines citing that opportunities for internet based business will expand because of these developments. The seminar also focused on the abilities & skills of the Filipinos to answer the call of businesses to be more resilient and adapt to the current global need. A good example on this was presented by Director Patricia Abejo - DOST ICTO comparing the India and the Philippines, citing the strengths of two countries, India is into software development while Philippines is into contact centers but at present software development & design is also growing in the Philippines.
The director of PSIA and president of SpiceWorx Consultancy, Inc. Ms. Tae Abe - Abion, also specified during the seminar that the Philippines is an ideal outsourcing destinations for SME's in Japan. She noted that though global giants are present in the outsourcing industry in the Philippines most of PSIA members are independent SME players and that for Japanese SME's to outsource software development , it makes more sense to look for providers in the Philippines who are also SME's than outsource to big companies. She pointed out that communication barriers is one of the challenge in doing business with Japanese SME customers as there are limited Japanese capable Filipino IT Engineers, but if Japanese companies could prepare more resources capable of communicating in English, outsourcing to the Philippine will be much easier.
As a growing software company in the Philippines Alliance Software Inc. answered the call for business improvements offering Japanese language training to its employees so that communication barriers won't be a big problem in doing projects with them. Japanese Language Training is just one of the perks offered by the company to its employees aiming to hone them to be the best Filipino Software Engineers. Attended by Alliance's Chief Executives, Mr. Robert Cheng - President and CEO and Mr. Sherwin Yu - Chief Operations Officer, this event is the most anticipated and biggest in the world of IT and Software Development.
Given Alliance Software's proficiency to meet the high standards of the Japanese market, the company is ready to take on even more challenging projects, not only in Japan but also in other parts of the world.
