Alliance Software joined the Microsoft 2018 event held last July 15-19, 2018 at Las Vegas, USA. Representing Alliance at the event were Mr. Robert Cheng, CEO, and Mr. Kendrick Chiong, Business Unit Head ROW. Both Robert and Ken were part of a larger Microsoft Philippines team composed of Microst Philippines Sales and Marketing team, partners and distributors.
The Microsoft 2018 event marks the first time that Microsoft combined both the Inspire (for partners) and Ready (for employees) together; hence, emphasizing a key desire for the Microsoft leadership to see collaboration with partners as a core Go to market strategy for Microsoft.
The 4 day 2018 Microsoft Inspire event focused primarily on the Digital Transformation strategy of Microsoft anchored on the M365 and Azure products and services which are, in turn, hosted in Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud and Intelligent Edge platforms.
Another key take-away of the event was the emphasis of the winning combination between Microsoft and the Microsoft partner network. The importance of this collaboration and co-sell activities was highlighted many times in the several keynotes (Microsoft calls them “Corenotes”) led by senior Microsoft leaders.
Partnership with Microsoft
And, indeed, the Alliance team is thankful that a lot of planning and joint selling activities have been initiated between Microsoft Philippines sales team and the internal Alliance sales team before, during and after the Inspire event.
One of the most awaited Corenotes was, of course, the one of Mr. Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, and the person credited for revitalizing the energy within the Microsoft ecosystem worldwide. Mr. Nadella’s Corenote happened on the last day of the event wherein he highlighted among others the Intelligent Cloud/Intelligent Edge platform, the integration of AI to the Azure platform; the Modern Workplace push thru M365; the Importance of intensifying further the Co-selling Momentum between Microsoft and its Partners; and, in a critical note to Microsoft’s influence on society, Microsoft’s take on its role on Privacy.
Over-all, Alliance looks forward to further strengthening the partnership with Microsoft as together we help digitally transform and empower organizations and communities in the Philippines.
