Alliance Software, Inc. welcomes a new scholar as it continues to give effort in bridging gaps between the industry and academe.
Joining Alliance’s family of scholars is Arianne F. Yu, a graduate from the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) track of CIT University. She received the Science and Technology Medal from Alliance CEO/President, Robert Cheng, assisted by Saturnina Alvarez, HR Supervisor, last March 28, 2019 during the institution’s 2nd Senior High school Commencement Exercises.
Arianne is planning to take BSIT this coming school year. “I may not have a concrete plan in mind as of the moment, but I look forward to participate in the upcoming events and activities that would harness not only my skills on the course that I've undertaken but also to the other aspects as well,” Arianne elaborated.
“Arianne is not an ordinary high achiever student; she's exceptionally smart in a way that she is very grounded with her personal vision for her family and her community. She has desires for growth not for herself but for her family and her community - that makes her very exceptional!” says Senior HR Manager, Rizalina Cañete. Cañete was part of the panel who screened the Alliance Science and Technology Scholarship candidates.
“We wish her all the best in her studies. One thing that we could assure her is our support (not just financially but psychologically and technically - guiding her holistically, being one of the experts in the field). We will graciously ensure that all our Scholars can further their dreams and graduate successfully,” she added.
Launched last year, Alliance’s scholarship program welcomed Mel Jay C. Llanos and Jecee Ryn C. Obrero, the first batch of scholars who are currently in their second year of college. According to Cañete, the first run was both successful and inspiring.
“It was quite successful mostly because of the enthusiastic partnership and support of CIT University in qualifying the target recipients. Screening the academic high-achievers in the STEM track with families in financial need were assessed in school level before the Alliance screening for final determination,” Cañete added.
The Alliance Scholarship Program aims to further its support to the country’s economic growth through investment in exceptional STEM senior high school students who are dedicated to further their studies in IT related courses. Alliance plans to sustain and expand this program in the years to come.
