Alliance Software Inc., one of the most respected software companies in the Philippines, partners with the University of San Jose-Recoletos for a 5-year Linkage Contract Renewal.

The provisions of the partnership contract include the reinforcement of the Bridge Training Program and the Jumpstart Program, both intending to supplement the students’ learning experience with relevant technical, project management, and Nihongo topics. The principal beneficiaries of Alliance-initiated training programs are undergraduate students pursuing degrees in computer-related fields such as Computer Science and Information Technology, among others.

Students in their final year of college are encouraged to take the intensive pre-qualifying examination for the Bridge Program. The top 40 students who pass the exam are offered to join the summer program. On the other hand, the Jumpstart Program is offered to a specific graduating class on their last semester, providing comprehensive training for the soon-to-be IT professionals.

"Alliance and USJ-R believe in the same vision in producing quality students [who] would be able to excel in the industry," Sr. HR Manager Rizalina Cañete said in an interview. "The organization is very supportive with the industry’s goals and directions, and they are always willing to align their academic vision and practices to prepare their students better after graduation."

Alliance envisions a proactive partnership with USJR in terms of providing valuable and instructive trainings that would help in the holistic formation of students—molding them into technically-adept professionals in the IT field. Cañete also shared that in addition to the Bridge and Jumpstart Programs, Alliance also facilitates Nihongo class for two consecutive years to increase appreciation of the Japanese language and culture.

USJR has been one of the Alliance official partners since 2014. Over the years, Alliance has partnered with all the major universities in Visayas and Mindanao, seeking institutions that showcase proven academic excellence in IT. Alliance remains firm in its belief that quality education is the key to professional success and, more importantly, success in long term nation building.

Present in the signing of agreement were Alliance CEO Robert J. Cheng, Sr. HR Manager Rizalina H. Cañete, USJR President Rev. Fr. Cristopher Maspara, CICCT Dean Gregg D. Gabison, and CSIT Chairman Jovelyn Cuizon.
