Alliance Software Inc. Continues to Strengthen Its Presence in the European Business Community through ECCP Annual General Membership Meeting 2026

At Alliance Software Inc., building technology solutions is only one part of what drives the company forward. Equally important is building strong relationships with customers, partners, and organizations that share the same vision for innovation and business growth.

Reinforcing this commitment, Alliance participated in the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Annual General Membership Meeting (AGM) and Sunset Socials 2026, further strengthening its engagement with one of the country's leading international business organizations.

Representing Alliance during the event were Mr. Kendrick Chong, Vice President for Commercial and Partnerships, and Ms. Mary Elizabeth Cunanan, Account Executive, who joined fellow members, partners, and business leaders from various industries.

Held on 26 May 2026, the ECCP AGM brought together members, guests, and partners for the Chamber's largest annual gathering to date. For Alliance, the AGM was an opportunity to further strengthen its relationship with the European business community. With existing clients and partners operating within the region, participating in the event allowed the company to reconnect with fellow members, exchange insights with industry leaders, and gain a deeper understanding of current business priorities and opportunities.

The event also provided an opportunity to establish new connections with European companies that have operations in the Philippines, supporting Alliance's commitment to building long-term relationships and expanding its presence within the European business community which was also emphasized by Senator Migz Zubiri, one of the keynote speakers, who highlighted the importance of strengthening business relations between Europe and the Philippines and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering deeper collaboration and stronger partnerships between both sides.

The meeting also featured the presentation of the President's and Treasurer's Reports, the election of the new Board of Directors, and keynote messages from distinguished leaders from both the public and private sectors. The day's activities concluded with the ECCP Sunset Socials, a networking event attended by nearly 500 guests, where Dr. Diana Edralin was introduced as the Chamber's first female and Filipina President, together with the announcement of the 2026–2027 Board of Directors.

Ultimately, participation in the ECCP reflects the company's belief that strong partnerships are built through continuous engagement. By remaining actively involved in organizations such as the ECCP, Alliance continues to strengthen its relationships with the European business community while supporting its long-term growth and creating value for its customers and partners.

Alliance End to End Solutions: Where We Make an Impact

What does it truly mean to make an impact? At Alliance, making an impact means helping businesses, professionals, and communities respond to real operational challenges, embrace innovation, and pursue sustainable growth with greater confidence. It is not simply about providing technology. It is about understanding how organizations work, identifying where improvements can be made, and delivering practical solutions that support efficiency, visibility, and better decision-making.

Today’s business landscape continues to evolve, and technology plays an increasingly important role in helping organizations remain agile and competitive. However, meaningful digital transformation requires more than the adoption of individual systems. It requires an end-to-end approach that considers an organization’s processes, people, information requirements, and long-term business objectives. Through our engagement with industry leaders, partners, and professional organizations, we gain deeper insight into these needs while sharing solutions designed to address them.

Our involvement in industry events allows us to engage directly with the communities we serve. In advertising and marketing events, we connect with creative professionals and businesses to explore how technology can strengthen customer engagement and support more responsive business operations. These conversations help us better understand the changing requirements of organizations operating in highly dynamic and customer-focused environments.

At retail and food industry events such as WOFEX, we engage with business owners and industry leaders who manage fast-moving operations where process efficiency, timely information, and operational visibility are essential. A common challenge among growing businesses is managing information across multiple locations and processes while maintaining accurate, timely data. Through our solutions, we demonstrate how integrated systems can help streamline operations, improve visibility across business functions, and enable organizations to make more informed, data-driven decisions.

Our chamber partnerships further extend this impact by creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and stronger connections within the broader business community. Through these partnerships, we contribute to conversations on innovation, operational improvement, and the role of technology in supporting sustainable business development.

Alliance also actively engages with the ICT community to exchange insights on emerging technologies, enterprise solutions, automation, and digital transformation. These engagements allow us to remain connected to evolving industry needs while contributing practical perspectives on how technology can be applied within real business environments.

Through professional organizations such as PICPA, we connect with finance and accounting professionals and explore how technology can support more efficient processes, stronger financial visibility, and more informed decision-making. These discussions reinforce the importance of solutions that do not simply automate tasks but also provide organizations with more reliable information for financial and operational decisions.

For Alliance, making an impact goes beyond delivering technology. It means listening to the needs of different industries, translating business challenges into practical solutions, and supporting organizations throughout their transformation journey. By continuing to engage with business communities, professional organizations, and industry leaders, we strengthen partnerships, contribute knowledge, and help organizations innovate, adapt, and grow in an increasingly digital world.

SPARK Days Refreshes Developers on Clean Coding with SonarQube

Last July 2, 2026, the company’s well-known knowledge-sharing initiative, SPARK Days, hosted a session on SonarQube and its vital role in maintaining code quality. Facilitated by Mr. Geo (Project Leader), the session refreshed employees’ understanding of the platform and highlighted its continued importance in modern software development. Participants were able to learn how SonarQube helps teams identify issues early, enforce coding standards, and improve overall software quality.

SonarQube is a reliable, industry-standard tool for static code analysis developed by Sonar. The platform itself continuously inspects and improves the quality of the source code, helping organizations consistently deliver maintainable, secure, and high-quality software. The tool performs static code analysis, which means analyzing the source code itself to detect potential issues before deployment. It uses a predefined set of rules to identify bugs, security vulnerabilities, duplicated code, code smells, and other maintainability concerns.

The discussion covered several of SonarQube’s capabilities in software development. One key highlight was the platform’s support for multiple programming languages, including C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, and many more. The broad language support demonstrates why SonarQube is a valuable tool for software projects across Alliance.

The main event of the session was a comprehensive, end-to-end live demonstration of the SonarQube platform. The walkthrough allowed the attendees to observe the entire SonarQube workflow in action, starting with initial installation and setup, followed by source code scanning, and concluding with how to interpret analysis results through the SonarQube web application. The following section provides a closer look at each key stage of the demonstration conducted during the session.

1. Installation and setup

The demonstration began with the speaker discussing the SonarQube edition used, prerequisites for the installation, and the initial configuration of the SonarQube platform. Participants were introduced to the required setup files and the process of connecting a project to the SonarQube Server. One of the key aspects demonstrated was how an authentication token is used to securely establish a connection between the project and the SonarQube Server before code analysis begins.

2. SonarQube Web Application

Following the setup, attendees were given an overview of the SonarQube web application. The presenter showed the expected display of the platform’s dashboard, Quality profiles, Quality Gates, and analysis reports that can be accessed and managed. This interface of the platform serves as the central hub for monitoring code quality and reviewing analysis results.

3. Source Code Scanning

For this stage, the presenter prepared a sample codebase ahead of time for the demonstration. The presenter then demonstrated scanning the source code via the SonarQube platform. In this process, the scanner analyzed the project’s source code and uploaded the results to the SonarQube server. Once uploaded, the code was evaluated against predefined rules to detect bugs, security vulnerabilities, code smells, duplicated code, and other maintainability issues.

4. Viewing the Analysis Results

The final stage focused on reading the analysis reports through the SonarQube web application. Attendees learned how to examine detected issues and potential risks, review code quality metrics, and identify areas of improvement. One notable feature demonstrated during this stage was SonarQube's ability to explain why the code was flagged as an issue.

The session wrapped up by reinforcing attendees' understanding of SonarQube's role in maintaining code quality and delivering secure, high-quality software. Attendees walked away with a refreshed understanding of SonarQube and valuable insights into the importance of clean coding practices in developing reliable and maintainable applications.

Autonomous AI Action: The Agentic AI Revolution

What was once considered a technology of the future has now become a defining force of the present. Artificial intelligence has evolved from a theoretical concept into a transformative force, revolutionizing how we live, work, and operate on a global scale. The adoption of Artificial Intelligence has propelled organizations toward new approaches to innovation, scalable solutions, and rapid process automation. At the forefront of this transformation, Agentic AI is emerging as a catalyst for reshaping production systems, streamlining processes, and enabling more intelligent and autonomous solutions.

Agentic AI is an artificial intelligence system designed to act autonomously toward a high-level goal. Unlike traditional AI, which simply provides answers to prompts, or Generative AI, which generates media, an agentic AI system can independently break down complex objectives, identify necessary actions, use external tools, evaluate its own results, and adjust its approach along the way. The transition from content generation to systematic goal execution relies on its underlying architecture. By combining foundation models with strategic planning, persistent memory, tool integration, and feedback loops, an agentic system continuously evaluates its progress and adapts its behavior to achieve a defined objective.

When discussing Agentic AI, another closely tied term is the "AI Agent." While Agentic AI refers to the overall architecture and operational paradigm, an AI agent is a functional unit that executes specified tasks. Depending on the scope or complexity of the task, an agentic system may rely on a single agent handling an entire workflow, or multiple agents, each handling a specialized sub-task, that collectively translate a high-level objective into concrete results. To better understand how these systems operate, agentic architectures are generally categorized into two primary setups:

  • Single-Agent System - This architecture relies on a single unified reasoning loop to plan, execute, and refine all steps of a task. Simple to build, maintain, and operate, most developers building agentic systems strongly suggest starting with a single agent. The workflow begins when the central agent accepts a goal, determines sub-steps, calls the appropriate external tools, and monitors its own context to deliver a final output.
  • Multi-Agent System - This type of agentic system divides complex objectives among several specialized agents operating in a collaborative or hierarchical environment. This architecture depends heavily on coordination mechanisms to route tasks based on agent domain expertise. The process begins with an orchestrator receiving the prompt and delegating subtasks to specialized agents, which then communicate via structured messages to complete the objective.

While these architectures provide a general framework for understanding how Agentic AI operates, their real value lies in how they can be applied to address practical challenges and create meaningful improvements within organizations. This is particularly relevant for Alliance Software Inc., where AI adoption and innovation have already become an important part of the organization’s ongoing technological development.

As AI continues to reshape the technology landscape, understanding and exploring Agentic AI will be increasingly important for Alliance Software Inc. to remain innovative, adaptable, and competitive. Through its aggressive and empowering initiatives, particularly the Alliance AI Innovation Lab, along with the well-established knowledge-sharing sessions such as SPARK Days, have reinforced employees’ understanding of the ever-evolving potential of AI and its transformative impact. Not only are the members of the organization empowered by these initiatives, but the company’s solutions and services are also strengthened through the effective adoption of AI, enabling Alliance Software Inc. to develop more innovative solutions, improve operational efficiency, and deliver greater value to its clients. With this foundation already in place, one can only imagine the greater possibilities that lie ahead as these solutions and services embrace Agentic AI.

Nihongo Corner: Japanese Etiquette

When learning a new language, it is not just about memorizing words and grammar. Culture plays a big role too. In Japanese, how you say something can be just as important as what you say. This is because Japanese communication is deeply rooted in politeness and respect.

Have you ever noticed in Japanese shows or conversations that people seem very formal or careful with their words? This is not accidental. It reflects a system of etiquette that is built into the language itself.

In this Nihongo Corner, let us explore three simple but important aspects of Japanese etiquette: bowing, honorifics, and politeness levels.

Bowing: More Than Just a Greeting

Bowing, or ojigi (おじぎ), is one of the most recognizable parts of Japanese culture. While it may look simple, it carries different meanings depending on how it is used.

In daily interactions, a slight bow is often used as a greeting, similar to saying 'hello' or 'thank you.' A deeper bow shows more respect or apology.

For example: a small nod for a casual greeting, a deeper bow to show respect, and a very deep bow for a sincere apology.

Even in workplaces, bowing is commonly used together with greetings such as Ohayō gozaimasu (おはようございます, "Good morning").

Honorifics: Showing Respect Through Names

Another key part of Japanese etiquette is the use of honorifics. These are suffixes added to names to show respect.

-san is a general polite suffix used for most people, for example, Tanaka-san.

-sensei is used for teachers, doctors, or professionals, for example, Hino-sensei.

-kun is often used for younger males or subordinates in a friendly way.

-chan is a cute and affectionate suffix often used for children or close friends.

Using honorifics correctly is very important because omitting them can sound too casual or even rude.

Politeness Levels: Casual vs Formal Japanese

Japanese has different levels of politeness depending on who you are talking to. This system is called keigo (けいご).

The casual form is used with friends, family, and people you know well. For example, taberu (食べる, "to eat") and genki? (元気?, "How are you?").

The polite form is commonly used in workplaces, schools, and other formal situations. For example, tabemasu (食べます) and ogenki desu ka? (お元気ですか。, "How are you?").

In professional environments, even more polite expressions are used to show respect to superiors or clients.

Why Japanese Etiquette Matters

Understanding Japanese etiquette helps you communicate more naturally and respectfully. It is not just about speaking correctly, but also about showing awareness of others.

Japanese etiquette shows how language and culture are closely connected, helping you appreciate communication more deeply.

Paddles Up! Celebrating the Alliance Software Inc. Pickleball Club Launch

"Sometimes, all it takes is trying something new"

Alliance Software Inc. officially launched its Pickleball Club last May 29, 2026, giving employees a new opportunity to stay active, meet new people, and strengthen connections across the organization.

More than introducing a new sport, the club was established to encourage collaboration beyond team boundaries. One of its main goals is to bring people together by creating a space where employees from different business units can meet, collaborate, and build meaningful friendships outside of work. In a workplace where teams often focus on their own projects, the club provides an opportunity to break down barriers, strengthen cross-functional relationships, and foster a stronger sense of community within Alliance Software Inc.; all while enjoying a fun and accessible activity.

The launch also serves as a starting point for employees who have always wanted to try pickleball but didn't know where to begin. Whether someone is completely new to the sport or already has experience, the club welcomes everyone to learn and play together.

"Our goal is to break the barriers between our cross-functional teams," shared Mr. Dave (Account Executive), Club Coordinator and Facilitator. "We don't want people to be limited to their own teams. Through pickleball, we hope they can collaborate, coordinate, and build friendships with people from across Alliance."

Interestingly, Mr. Dave shared that his own journey with pickleball began by chance. He admitted that he wasn't initially drawn to the sport for any particular reason.

"Nothing really inspired me to play at first," he said. "But after I tried it, I really enjoyed it."

That experience is exactly why he encourages others not to hesitate when faced with something unfamiliar.

"Never be afraid of trying something new because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know," he said. "It's better to fail while trying than to never try at all."

Aside from promoting health and wellness, the club also offers employees an affordable recreational activity, with lower court fees than many other sports. More importantly, every game becomes an opportunity to connect with colleagues, strengthen teamwork, and create a more inclusive workplace community.

Looking ahead, the club hopes to continue growing both in membership and in skill. The long-term vision is to build a supportive team that continues to improve together and, one day, proudly represent Alliance Software in pickleball tournaments.

"We want the team and the club to prosper," Mr. Dave shared. "We hope everyone continues to improve their gameplay, grow together as a team, and hopefully represent Alliance Software in future tournaments."

As the club begins its journey, Mr. Dave encourages all Alliance Software employees—whether beginners or experienced players to join the club, learn about the sport, meet new people, and become part of a supportive community that grows together.

With the successful launch of the Pickleball Club, Alliance Software Inc. continues to create opportunities for employees to connect beyond work, foster stronger relationships, healthier lifestyles, and a workplace community where everyone feels welcome.

Managers' Night Reinforces Our Shared Commitment to Accountability

This year's Managers' Night served as more than a gathering of the company's leaders. It became an opportunity to reinforce one of the organization's core values: accountability. While the event was attended by managers, the discussions carried a message that extends beyond leadership and applies to every employee across the organization.

The event featured Kendrick Chong, Vice President for Commercial and Partnerships, Annalie Ponce-Minoza, Vice President, Shelly Abadiano, Manager II, and Geraline Sagun, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources as the evening's key speakers. Through their messages, they emphasized the importance of accountability, commitment, and service excellence in achieving both individual and organizational success.

A key message resonated throughout the event:

Great service delivery is not the responsibility of managers and leaders alone. It is the responsibility of every member of the team. Every ticket we complete, every issue we resolve, and every commitment we honor contributes to our customers' success.

This powerful reminder emphasized that accountability is not defined by one's position or title. Whether leading a team or contributing as an individual, every employee plays a vital role in delivering quality service and fulfilling the organization's commitments. Taking ownership of responsibilities, honoring commitments, and consistently performing with integrity are essential to building trust with both colleagues and customers.

The speakers encouraged everyone to view accountability as a daily practice demonstrated through actions such as following through on commitments, communicating proactively, supporting one another, and taking responsibility for outcomes. By embracing accountability at every level of the organization, employees contribute to stronger collaboration, improved service delivery, and a culture of excellence.

Managers' Night concluded with a shared understanding that accountability is a collective responsibility. When every member of the organization remains committed to delivering promises and supporting one another, the company is better equipped to provide exceptional service and create lasting value for its customers.
